This 3D family film is the sequel to ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ (2008). A young guy named Sean, played by Josh Hutcherson, recieves a radio signal giving the co-ordinates to an Island. He believes the message came from his grandfather Alexander, played by Michael Caine, as he has been searching for the mysterious Island that the explorer and writer Jules Verne had written about many years before. Believing this, he sets off with his stepfather Hank, played by Dwayne Johnson to meet up with his grandfather. Looking for transportation and a guide, Sean and Hank meet Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens) and her father Gabato (Luis Guzman), who have a helicopter and who agree to fly them to the mysterious co-ordinates and that’s where the adventure begins. Josh Hutcherson is the only orginal member of the cast from the first movie ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ (2008) with Brendan Fraser and Anita Briem. Dwayne Johnson, before becoming an actor, was a football player at university and then he had a sucessful career in wrestling, he has many nicknames one of them is ‘The Rock’. Since being an actor, he has appeared in many films as ‘The Rock’. He has starred in movies, such as; ‘The Scorpion King’ (2002), TV series ‘Hannah Montana’ (2007), ‘Get Smart’ (2008), ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ (2009), ‘Tooth Fairy’(2010), ‘Fast Five’(2011), G.I Joe 2: Retaliation to be released in 2012 and The Fast and the Furious 6 release date 2013.
